With over 25 years experience in television, Mark Pickett understands his audience, especially what they will buy. In 2003, Mark Pickett established G Marketing Australia Pty Ltd, to supply Australia’s only television shopping channel (TVSN) with high quality, innovative products not readily available through retail outlets.

The G Marketing staff has a total of over 60 years experience in retail television and direct response TV spanning across buying, production and presentation. Members of the team have been involved in the development and implementation of shopping networks in both the UK and Australia. The result – the team has a vast amount of knowledge, and more importantly, industry contacts worldwide in this highly specialised field.

Since inception, G Marketing has managed the successful launch of the following product lines on TVSN:

QTICA - a range of professional hand, nail and body products imported from Art of Beauty, Cleveland, Ohio. At the launch in May 2003, QTICA was the highest selling beauty product range ever launched on TVSN. The range continues to generate strong sales volume today.
ZOYA – a range of professional nail lacquers launched in July 2005 to complement the QTICA range of hand, nail and body products. ZOYA quickly became the leading brand of nail lacquers on TVSN.
Strong demand for the QTICA and ZOYA products led Mark to create Art of Beauty Australia, as a trading name, to supply these ranges to the professional beauty industry through a network of distributors, salons and spas.
FOREVER FILE – the original glass nail file from the Czech Republic was introduced in 2004 with exceptionally strong sales results. Forever File was chosen as an accessory to further strengthen the QTICA and ZOYA nail care ranges.
MICROPLANE FOOT FILES – a unique pedicure product was launched in September 2006 and acted as an upsell for and to extend the range of QTICA products offered to TVSN customers.

Particular care was needed as part of the sensitive and delicate demonstration involving the rasping of skin as part of the pedicure. A timely staged release of product versions was pre-planned to maximise sales of the product on TVSN.

SIMMERMAT – a kitchen cooking utensil from New Zealand was launched in late 2003 with significant sales success. Ideal for the unique home shopping format, SIMMERMAT was chosen for its qualities that are easily demonstrated via strong, well planned presentations.
JACQUELINE KENNEDY COLLECTION – an exquisite collection of replica jewellery, exclusively launched in July 2006. Each show has been highly successful with the Australian audience enamoured by the elegance and grace of this unique collection. Several significant events are programmed for 2007.
DAVE BRADFORD JEWELLERY CLEANING SYSTEM. This non-toxic, bio-degradable product had proven very popular on the North American and European home shopping networks. It continues to over-deliver on its promises and has exceedingly high customer satisfaction. This product was launched in March 2007 and it was no surprise that the launch event was a complete sell-out. A second event has been planned for September 2007.
TVSN was established in 1995. Leveraging from overseas experience, the launch team included many previous employees of QVC Inc and QVC UK. Mark was invited to move to Sydney from QVC UK to join the TVSN launch team to design and implement this network. After several changes of ownership, TVSN was bought by the Direct Group in 2004 and now have a well-established, profitable business.

TVSN currently broadcast 24 hours a day to approximately 2 million homes throughout Australia on the Foxtel, Austar and Optus pay TV networks and have secured around 300,000 customers. Daily sales average A$180,000 (US$135,000).

TVSN and the Direct Group completed the building of a brand new studio facility in December 2006 which incorporates the latest in audio-visual technologies.
